Probably Good is excited to pilot interactive workshops to help people find careers that are good for them and good for the world!
These workshops are completely free. They generally take place online, though we can provide them in-person in some circumstances.

The workshops
How to build a career that really makes a difference
In this workshop, participants will be introduced to what we’ve identified as some of the most promising careers and cause areas based on Probably Good’s extensive research, drawing from scientific literature, case studies, and interviews with experts.
In addition, we’ll introduce tools participants can use to find opportunities relevant to them after the workshop.
During the workshop, we’ll emphasize the surprisingly large difference between how much positive impact different careers can have. We’ll also explore how using analytical reasoning to identify a higher-impact career could enable people to help others at a truly
impressive scale—and hopefully feel fulfilled along the way.
Throughout the workshop, there will be opportunities for participants to discuss these ideas amongst themselves and get feedback from their peers.
This workshop is aimed at people who are unfamiliar with Probably Good’s approach to career advice, and may not have much experience using analytical tools to think about their career. It may be especially useful for students and early-career professionals.

Finding a role that’s good for you and good for the world
Deciding on a career is tricky, especially when it seems like there are multiple compelling options. During this workshop, participants will be introduced to a tool that will help them navigate these decisions—Probably Good’s SELF Framework.
Using this framework, participants will reflect on decisions they’re facing and have the opportunity to discuss their decisions with others.
By the end of the workshop, participants should feel better equipped to compare their options and identify concrete next steps toward finding a career that’s both fulfilling and highly impactful.
This workshop is aimed at people already familiar with either Probably Good’s content or the Effective Altruism community. It is relevant to people in all career stages, and especially those considering a career change in the near future.
